I am writing this post in English first as I want to link it up to the Small Fry Skinny Jeans link party hosted by Craftstorming.
(I will also post it in Hungarian a bit later. Kicsit később magyarul is írok majd erről a legújabb "kalandról".)
I got so excited when I saw Laura's announcement @ Craftstorming: the skinny jeans sew along. We were on vacation during that week, but I could start and finish the pants this week, right after we got home. I am so glad I found her site and her pattern as I have never made anything with buttonholes, pockets, adjustable waistband and belt loops. I have learnt a lot of new techniques I have never tried before and this feels soooo good!
The free pattern is size 2T but I was sure that it would fit my skinny 4 year-old and yes, the fit is perfect. The pattern pieces are very professional and come together so nicely. I am sure I will sew new ones soon, I have already selected some nice mauve corduroy with a lovely, matching floral print.
I sewed up these skinnies from stretch denim paired with a nice quilting fabric, roses printed on light blue, to make them a little girly :)
Lili, as usual, was not into modelling she just wanted to play "I am a kitten sitting on the windowsill..."
Hooray for skinnies! I like them on my little girl it's so fun. I decided to sew it up in this traditional blue (?) as she's already got one pair in purple and turquoise and the newest ones are red which she wore on her birthday few days ago :)
xox,
Tünce :)
